Formed in 1969, Dean Sapp has developed what has become one of the finest traditionally
based bluegrass bands in the country. Original material, tight harmonies, and great instrumentation
have given this band a sound that is truly unique, but still remains 100% traditional bluegrass.
Veterans of both stage and studio, their stage shows have won them loyal audiences wherever
they have played. Their well-reviewed recorded product has received air play worldwide, and
Dean's songwriting talents have garnered the respect of his peers. The title song of his 1997
release, " The Night the Titanic Went Down," caught the attention of the promoters of
the Ausgrass '98 Festival, resulting in him being their guest of honor at the ten-day event
held in Fitzroy Falls, near Sydney, Australia. He has also appeared in the Songwriter's Showcase
at the IBMA World of Bluegrass convention
